Mike's Manhattan Mobile Notary provides the most reliable mobile notary service at the best price in New York (how often does that happen?). Fees range from $35-50, depending upon your location, for basic mobile notary services (including one notarization) during regular business hours (see below for hours). Additional notarizations are $2 each. Rush requests for notarizations within a 1-hour period will incur a $15 surcharge.

Fees for more complex notary assignments such as will ceremonies at Manhattan-New York hospitals (starting at $65) and serving as a Notary Signing Agent for loan packages (starting at $100) are priced separately along with any printing fees.

You can pay for notary service with cash (receipts provided), check or online with any major credit card through Paypal (a Paypal account is not necessary. All that is needed is an email address to receive a payment request email).

What is a mobile notary public?

A mobile notary public is just like a regular notary accept that he or she travels to the location of your choice to notarize your legal documents. In addition to the $2 notary fee allowed by law for each individual notarization, mobile notaries in New York are permitted to charge a travel fee.

How much advance notice do you need?

While same-day appointments can usually be accommodated, if you need a specific time, you should try to call a day or two before if possible. It's best to just ask about your situation and see if we can accommodate your schedule. Requests for notarizations within the hour will typically require a small surcharge (see pricing section).

How long does the process take?

For most New York notary jobs, the actual notarizing takes just a few minutes. Loan documents, which can be over 100 pages, can take much longer (especially if the notary is overseeing the signing of the whole document and not just the notary pages).

What do I need to bring with me?

A current state-issued photo ID (e.g. a passport or a state driver's license or state-issued ID card) is required. The ID must fully cover whatever name is printed on your document. Passports usually include a person's full name, while New York licenses often abbreviate names (even the first name), so a passport is sometimes required to complete your NY notarization.
